Danielle coordinates Farm to School Education and Professional Development Programs for Vermont FEED (Food Education Every Day). As adjunct faculty with Castleton State College, she also offers graduate level professional development courses focused on integrating sustainable food, farm, and nutrition education concepts into the curriculum. Danielle has a B.A. in Ethnobotany and Women's Studies, a certificate in non-profit management and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Danielle's previous experiences include midwifery, teaching Kindergarten, and providing on the ground emergency medical services to rural hospitals and communities in East Africa. (She speaks Kiswahili.) Danielle is dedicated to building healthy and enduring relationships between people, land and wellness through connecting Vermont's schools and dynamic communities with sustainable local food systems. She lives, farms, hikes and does yoga in the hills of Roxbury, VT with her husband, two cats and two dogs.
