House & Formal Gardens Tour at the Inn
Join our knowledgeable guide for an in-depth tour of the Inn and its formal gardens. Originally the 19th-century country home of Dr. William Seward and Lila Vanderbilt Webb, the house was restored and adapted for use as an inn in 1987 to support the nonprofit education organization. As part of this National Historic Landmark property on the shores of Lake Champlain, the inn retains its historic character and continues the tradition of warmth, informal elegance and hospitality enjoyed by guests for more than a century. This walking tour is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. It includes the inn’s main floor, select bedrooms on the second and third floors, and the formal gardens, and is followed by casual, self-service afternoon tea featuring sweets and savories made by the Inn’s pastry chef.
