Northeast Farm to Preschool Forum
Come join farmers and preschool providers for this full day forum to explore ways to bring joy and wonder to early childhood through agriculture. This day gathering will give you tools for engaging children on a farm or in a garden, as well as tips for bringing agriculture into the classroom and/or meal and snack programs. Share activities, explore safety and risk, try kid-friendly recipes, and discuss the exciting intersection where seed to table and sun to soil meet preschool. Included in this forum are afternoon field trips to local farms to experience on-farm activities (participants are asked to drive themselves or carpool). You'll leave with ideas of how to bring farm-based and food-based education to your students!
This $20 registration cost covers your participation in the Northeast Farm to School Forum. Included in this registration are all site and program fees, lunch, and day-of materials. In an effort to keep the registration cost low and accessible, event organizers are asking you to drive or carpool to the farm field trips in the afternoon, all of which are within a 15 mile drive of the forum site.
