Year-Round Positions:

Receptionist

Shelburne Farms seeks a Receptionist to work two (2) days per week, year round, in the main office of the Farm Barn.  The Receptionist provides phone switchboard, mail room, data entry, front office and general clerical support in a busy and dynamic organization.  The ideal candidate will be highly organized with a keen eye for detail, have strong communication and inter-personal skills, be comfortable and competent with computers, and be capable of handling a 40-line switchboard.

Educator/Curriculum Specialist

Team member who works on the development and coordination of programs for educators.

A successful candidate must have:
  • a Masters Degree
  • 3+ years of classroom teaching experience
  • They will be able to demonstrate significant experience in the following:

  • Curriculum development & documentation
  • Education for Sustainability practices and pedagogy
  • Project management and coordination
  • Multi-tasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines in an organized and responsible manner
  • Written and oral communication
  • Public speaking and presentations
  • Working collaboratively and independently on multiple teams
  • Teaching and working with a diverse community of children and adults
  • Supervising staff, volunteers, college students, and interns
  • Relationship building with multiple stakeholders
  • It is also a plus to have:

  • Knowledge of Vermont schools and community partners
  • Current teaching certification
  • Salary commensurate with experience
