Assistant Grounds Manager
Full Time Year Round Salaried with benefits

GENERAL DESCRIPTION Assists, Grounds Manager  with Maintenance of Shelburne Farms, lawns, roads and woodlands areas, including special events support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in daily management part time seasonal grounds crew.
• Manage part time seasonal grounds crew in absence of  grounds manager
• Mowing, trimming lawns and roadsides.
• Mowing, trimming trails
• Walking trail maintenance, including brush and tree trimming.
• Woodlands fire wood production & delivery to customers @Shelburne Farms.
• Tree and shrub maintenance & installation.
• Seasonal road maintenance
• Garbage removal, composting and recycling services.
• Special events  support  (set up, breakdown, parking, clean up.)

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must have valid Vermont Drivers license
• Must  be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Must be able to climb ladder to 8 feet.
• Previous grounds maintenance experience required
• Must be able to follow directions and work as member of crew
• Must have positive attitude and is a contributing member of the team
