Seasonal Pastry Cook

Supervisor:  Executive Chef

Employee Status:  Seasonal

Exemption: Hourly, Non-Exempt 

Location: In-person (99 Inn Road, Shelburne, VT 05482)

Start & End Date: May 1st - Oct 26

Salary Range:  $20-$25/hour

Work Schedule: 7 day operation; Typical schedule is 5 days/week, 7am - 3pm 

Housing: Free on-site housing available for this role


Who We’re Looking for

  • Someone who is trained in basic pastry techniques such as: ice cream bases, custards, cookies, breads, mousses, piping skills and can follow a recipe. 


What You’ll Do

  • Assist in production of desserts and baked goods for dinner service, events, tea service and our food truck. 
  • Clean and organize the pastry kitchen. 
  • Assist in monthly inventory. 
  • Maintain an efficient work environment. 


Core Qualifications 

Equivalent education/experience can substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. 

  • Organizational and cleanliness skills
  • Basic pastry technique knowledge. 
  • Team mindset: open to collaborating and assisting fellow team members

  • We offer a 30% discount on Farm products.
  • Six (6) days (total of 48 hours) of paid Sick Time for all seasonal employees, regardless of average hours worked/week and length of seasonal time working on the farm.
