12th Annual Vermont Cheesemakers Festival
A letter from Vermont Cheese Council President Marty Mundy:
We have had a number of inquiries regarding the status of the Vermont Cheesemakers Festival. We are monitoring the situation with COVID-19 and its potential effect on the festival closely. While we currently continue to sell tickets for the festival, we are also aware that this year may prove to be a special one and will post updates or changes to the festival as soon as we have updates for you.
As March 26, 2020, Vermont cheesemakers have seen approximately 50% losses in sales due to the COVID-19 impact, in some cases higher losses. We encourage those interested in supporting and sustaining Vermont cheesemakers and local farmers during these challenging times to buy Vermont cheese, as well as all locally produced food when you can. We have developed an Online Sales Directory to help everyone in the VT, NYC, MA, and other areas around the country know where you can find and buy Vermont cheeses.
Join us in celebrating the 12th Annual Vermont Cheesemakers Festival! Vermont is the premium artisanal cheese state with the highest number of cheesemakers per capita: over 40 of them! Experience the state’s passion for making fine cheeses, taste local and fresh foods and wines, and meet the artisans who make them. Spend a high summer day along the shores of Lake Champlain at our historic Coach Barn sampling, buying, learning, and networking.
In addition to the Festival on Sunday, Educational Programs are being offered on Saturday from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. These tickets are limited.Registration Details:
