Join Outreach for Earth Stewardship for an evening of celebration of all things Avian! The second annual Birds Take Flight Benefit will be held at Shelburne Farms in the historic Coach Barn.This event provides the opportunity for OFES to connect with the community that has so generously supported its mission and introduce OFES to those who may not know about OFES. Most importantly, this is a celebration to honor our feathered friends that play such an important role in a healthy, thriving environment. 

Meet our Wild Ambassadors, be inspired, learn something new, make new friends, enjoy the view and a have a great time!

  • Live bird presentations with OFES Wild Ambassadors
  • Food Available for Purchase from Half Baked Pizza Oven & Farmers And Foragers Food Truck
  • Live music featuring Nicole Carey, Mike Schmidt, and the Onion River Boys
  • Kids Raptor Crafts
  • Raffle tickets include a chance to win a $400 gift certificate for meals and/or a night at the Inn at Shelburne Farms 2016!
  • Slide show of OFES birds including Nature Photos by Wildlife Photographer, Craig Newman
  • Bird release at 5:00 pm (weather permitting)
  • Of Land and Local art exhibition until 7pm
  • Several Bird and Wildlife Displays
  • Cash Bar

Outreach for Earth Stewardship (OFES) is a nonprofit wildlife education program based on Shelburne Farms. OFES and Shelburne Farms share a mutually beneficial partnership dedicated to fostering ecological literacy by sharing and encouraging a sense of wonder in, knowledge of, and respect for Earth's diversity and natural processes. OFES offers live bird presentations in schools, various organizations and festivals throughout Chittenden County. OFES is a 501c3 nonprofit who relies solely on fees from programs and support from the community we serve.
