Vermont Farm to School Network Webinar Series for Educators: Trauma Informed Practices & Farm to School
This live workshop is currently full. Please add your name to the waitlist below if you’re interested in joining if seats become available. Recordings will be made available here shortly after the live webinar.
Join the Vermont Farm to School Network as we explore how food and trauma are intertwined. Food can establish a strong sense of community, but can also be a point of stress and anxiety. In this webinar, we’ll provide an overview of trauma and the skills and factors that promote resilience. Educators will explore trauma-related triggers associated with school meals and develop recommendations for trauma-responsive practices related to food. This time together will increase participant awareness of implicit biases about food, clearly articulate the connection between trauma and food, and provide tools for coordinating Farm to School and nutrition programs in their school through a Trauma Sensitive lens.
The webinar will be led by Food Connects Farm to School Program Manager Conor Floyd and Food Connects Farm to School Program Coordinator Sheila Humphreys.
Thanks to funding from the Vermont Agency of Education, we are grateful we can offer this opportunity at no cost.Registration Details:
