*Before and after care available; campers may be dropped off as early as 8:00AM and picked up as late as 5:00PM.

Camp Description:

Dig in the soil at the Market Garden to explore food and farming first hand. Campers gather together each morning to engage alongside gardeners in the meaningful work of growing food by watering, tasting, and harvesting the produce that will be used at the Inn, sold at farmers markets, organized into farm shares, or donated to local food shelves. During this week, we’ll chop, dice, and taste our way through the garden. Creative cooking challenges in an outdoor kitchen are a highlight of this camp, as well as meeting the chefs from our Inn restaurant to learn a few cooking or plating skills. Afternoons offer choice time to hike, play, swim, and explore the farm, fields, forest, and lake! With the dairy, sheep pastures, forest, and mobile chicken coop nearby, campers have the opportunity to deepen their relationships with the food and natural systems of our farm community. This camp is based out of a covered pavilion at the Market Garden, and has running water and an enclosed composting toilet.
