Children's Farmyard Group Visits

Requests for Children’s Farmyard Visits are accepted on a rolling basis.

Give your students or camp groups a hands-on opportunity to discover the important role that farms play in their lives with a visit to the Children’s Farmyard.

Children’s Farmyard Visits are self-guided:  You are free to explore at your own pace! Hands-on activities such as hand milking a cow or making wool bracelets are offered every half hour beginning with the Chicken Parade at 10:30.  You may participate in any or all of these activities.  Teachers, chaperones, and students can also explore cheese making, the hiking trails, and visit the O Bread bakery.

Groups typically visit for ~2 hours, but are welcome to spend as much time as desired in educational exploration. There are plenty of spaces to picnic!

Autumn in the Farmyard is a great time to schedule a farmyard visit!  At this quieter time of year, you’ll enjoy more personal attention from our Farmyard Educators.  A fall field trip is a unique and meaningful way to kick off the school year!

The Children’s Farmyard is open from mid-May to mid-October.  Scheduled groups receive a discounted group rate of $4/student, teachers free, and  $5/chaperone.
