Currently an educator through the Dairy in the Classroom project, Dana was previously Northeast Regional Lead for the National Farm to School Network, where she worked with seven states on network building, information and resource sharing, training and technical assistance, policy, research, and media/marketing of Farm to School. Dana is on a number of national Farm to School committees that work with USDA, SNA, and other strategic partners. She is also on the Advisory Board for the National Farm to School Network. She has a Masters in Environmental Studies from Antioch New England, where she focused on agriculture education and nonprofit administration. She received her Bachelors in Environmental Analysis and Planning (Environmental Engineering) from Frostburg State University. She grew up on a farm in Maryland and has dedicated her career to improving the livelihood, status, and lifestyle of farm families like her own. She has two young children, a husband, a dog, two cats, eight chickens and a weedy garden at home where she wants to be when not in work meetings!
