Seasonal Assistant Housekeeping Manager

Supervisor:  Housekeeping Manager

Employee Status:  Seasonal, Full Time

Exemption: Non-Exempt, hourly

Location: On-site (99 Inn Road, Shelburne, VT 05482)

Start & End Date: April 15 - October 30, 2024

Salary Range:  $21 - $23/hour

Work Schedule:  7AM or 8AM - 3PM (operate 7 days and schedule will vary depending on availability)

 

What You’ll Do

• Supervise housekeeping staff when Housekeeping Manager is unavailable
• Inventory and organize stock
• Assist with training new employees 
• Effective and collaborative communication with other departments
• Enforce policies and procedures 
• Monitor employee performance 
• Cleaning and care of all 2^nd and 3^rd floor bedrooms, bathrooms and public spaces
• Cleaning and care of all guest cottages and houses
• Assisting cleaning of 1^st floor rooms, hallways, and back of house areas as needed
• Maintaining standards of cleanliness established by management
• Assisting with the daily laundry and care of linens as needed
• Learning and following proper care of museum quality furnishings, special woodwork and floors, etc.
• Maintaining order and tidiness of all housekeeping closets, laundry room and back of house areas.

Additional Valued Qualifications 

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required

 

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Seasonally demanding work schedule
• Ability to be physically active for extended periods of time
• Indoor spaces lack conventional heating and cooling

 

Benefits 

• We offer a 30% discount on Farm products.
• Six (6) days (total of 48 hours) of paid Sick Time for all seasonal employees, regardless of average hours worked/week and length of seasonal time working on the farm.
