The Cheese team is looking for an Entry Level Cheesemaking and Processing Assistant to support our Farm product team in making, packaging and shipping our artisanal cheddar cheese. The Cheese team is looking for a Lead Cheesemaker to support our Farm product team in making, packaging and shipping our artisanal cheddar cheese. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cheesemaker to expand into the world of raw milk, farmstead cheddar cheese production. The cheese team is integral to supporting a healthy local food system and providing an inspiring farm-based campus for learning for the Farm’s various programs and activities.

As the Farm Functions Chef at Shelburne Farms, your role involves collaborating with the culinary team and various groups across the farm, utilizing and sourcing local ingredients, and leading a small seasonal kitchen staff to provide transformative culinary experiences that highlight sustainable practices and foster connections between guests and the land.

The Farm Catering Coordinator directly supports our mission to inspire and cultivate learning for a sustainable future. You will coordinate the planning, preparation, and delivery of farm-fresh meals that support our educational initiatives and sustainability goals. You will collaborate with an integrated team of program and event organizers, educators, farm staff, and hospitality team members to create meaningful and locally sourced food and beverage experiences across the farm campus. You are excited to embrace, demonstrate, and share the importance of locally grown and sourced ingredients and farm-fresh produce with our program participants.

With guidance from the facility manager and as part of the Buildings & Landscape team, you’ll perform diversified duties to improve, repair, protect, and maintain campus facilities and equipment. This role is required to live on-site and housing is provided.
