Watch Cheesemaking

As part of your visit to the Farm Barn, watch our cheesemakers craft the milk of our Brown Swiss cows into cheddar, then enjoy a sample!  Schedule may vary. Meet a cheesemaker, daily at 11AM, or check out a Sun to Cheese Tour, at 2PM.

Meet Some Raptors in Residence

Come face to face with a live owl or hawk and learn the mysteries of birds of prey with Outreach for Earth Stewardship(link is external). 1:00 pm. Located near Children's Farmyard: just in the woods at start of the StoryWalk trail. Free. No registration.

2025 schedule:

  • Sundays, May 10 - June 15
  • Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, June 18 - August 31
  • Sundays, September 7 - October 19

Stroll a Seasonal StoryWalk

Follow an entertaining children’s storybook as it’s displayed page by page along the trail behind the Children’s Farmyard. Your family can read as you walk, letting the story unfold with every step. StoryWalk® was created by Anne Ferguson and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. The storybook changes seasonally!

Enjoy a Farm Lunch

Pick up something delicious at...

  • Farm Store & Welcome Center
  • Farm Cart: farm-fresh lunch and snack options at the Farm Barn. Check back for the 2025 schedule.
  • O Bread Bakery, an independent production bakery at the Farm Barn. It often has bread loaves, cookies, or pastries for sale. (Not a sit-down bakery.)
