How we're addressing global climate change

Addressing climate change is an urgent global concern and Shelburne Farms is integrating climate action into all aspects of the organization.

Climate action is a core goal in our current Strategic Planning Framework, and focuses on two integrated efforts that are foundational to our education mission as a nonprofit.

  1. Developing and implementing a Climate Action Plan to achieve Net Zero on the farm by 2028.
  2. Advancing global climate action through education for sustainability.
