As Human Resources Director, Casey is focused on creating and sustaining an environment that is inclusive, respectful, and engaging for everyone who works and volunteers at Shelburne Farms. She oversees all HR functions including strategy and analysis, training and workforce development, recruitment and retention, compliance, and fostering a culture that is in support of our education mission, strategy, and core values. Her BA in International Studies, living abroad and learning Italian helped to ignite a passion for observing new cultures and absorbing unfamiliar languages and communication methods. Prior to joining Shelburne Farms in 2022, she spent over a decade supporting small businesses with recruitment, employee development, and navigating organizational growth through authentic mission and vision alignment. She volunteers as a Committee Member for Building Bright Futures, a career mentor at Vermont Works for Women, and the career readiness programs at Champlain College. Along with her husband and two young children, she spends as much time as possible enjoying all that Vermont has to offer including gardening, mountain biking, skiing, and hiking.
