Over two and a half days, you will:
- Tour Massaro Community Farm, with many school field trip elements
- Inquire into the importance of rewilding with the EcoType Project
- Visit Common Ground High School, Urban Farm & Environmental Education Center in New Haven
- Take part in favorite farm-based education activities with experienced educators
- Enjoy an unforgettable tidal foraging expedition and meal of abundant "invasive" plants with Miya's Sushi
Organized and facilitated by members of the Farm-Based Education Network: Andrew Lombardi, Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture and Environment; Jamilla Jones, early childhood educator; and Joi Prud’homme, Massaro Community Farm.
The Farm-Based Education Network is a project administered by Shelburne Farms.
