Dress Up Like a Bean Plant

Posted by Cat Parrish
Children's Farmyard and Family Program Manager & Farm Based Educator

Just like humans, plants have different essential parts that allow them to survive and grow!  To discover what those parts are, follow along with me below as I dress up like a bean plant at the Education Garden at Shelburne Farms. (I was up there earlier this spring, before all those garden plants started growing!) Can you think of any essential parts of a plant before we start?

If you enjoyed this video and want to learn more about plants, check out the "Fab Five" video, too, which explores the five things plants need to grow strong and healthy.

To try this activity at home, you can also download the Dress Up a Plant activity from our Cultivating Joy & Wonder publication.
