Carol Wellings was born long ago in a galaxy, far, far away – Pittsburgh, PA. Her youth was misspent (joyfully) in the heyday of “the Sixties,” and she had many careers before settling in the Green Mountain State in 1992: a stockbroker, model (a short career—literally—she’s only 5’3”), office manager and retailer. A new life began for her after settling in rural Addison, VT and she found contentment in a long and varied relationship with Shelburne Farms. After many years managing the Welcome Center – buying and merchandising all the cool stuff you can find there, and welcoming all visitors -- she's stepped back from those responsibilities, and joined the cheese team on a part-time basis. She lives for today, in the moment and by the motto: Do What You Love!
