As one of the lead cheesemakers, Celia’s role focuses on making our delicious cheddar cheese!
Celia attended Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania where she studied geology, Spanish, and stage managed theater productions. During the pandemic, she took a hiatus from college life and led a camping crew with Vermont Youth Conservation Corps for two seasons, building bridges through swamps. Her thesis and post-graduate work explored the benefits of place-based nature education and she taught students around the Philadelphia area, both in schools and at nature preserves.
Finally, she made her way back to Vermont and found a job making her favorite food! Outside of work, you can find her crafting, reading at the beach, and cooking family dinners with ingredients from her garden.
