Unique Activities September 11-13

Join Alec Webb in the library for a casual conversation over tea.

Climb to the Farm Barn cupola, discover the E. Howard & Co. mechanics behind the clock faces, and enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of the landscape.

Explore Shelburne Farms' back roads and special places in an electric farm vehicle with Heidi Webb and Brooke Redmond.

Julie Eldridge Edwards, Curator of Collections, will share items from the archive including pieces that informed and continue to support the Coach Barn Rehabilitation Project.

Meet the cows and tour the dairy facility during the afternoon milking with Susie Marchand.

Join ecologist Leslie Spencer and explore the secret lives of wild pollinators. Get up close to these gentle insects, learn to identify them and how to support pollinators at home.

This multi-course dinner, benefiting the Vermont Cheese Council, will feature 10 different Vermont creameries, ranging from enduring icons like Jasper Hill and Cabot to hidden gems like Barn First and Parish Hill. Space is very limited.

Join the Green Mountain Audubon Society to observe many resident species and migratory birds as they prepare to leave the region. Registration begins September 6th.
Enjoy stories about Shelburne Farms on a unique open-air wagon tour through the beautiful working landscape with Heidi Webb and Brooke Redmond.

Gather with Alec and Megan at the Farm Barn administrative offices. Hear what's on their minds, ask questions, and share your experiences at the farm.

7:00–9:30 am Coffee, tea, and baked goods
7:30–11:00 am Breakfast at the Inn (M. – F.)
8:00–12:00 pm Breakfast at the Inn (S. & S.)
11:00–3:00 pm Lunch at the Farm Cart
3:30–4:30 pm Afternoon Tea
4:00 pm Inn Bar opens
5:00–8:30 pm Dinner at the Inn
Make your breakfast and dinner reservations (required) when reserving your room or by calling (802) 985-8498. Morning coffee and afternoon tea are complimentary for Inn guests.

Lunch Options
In addition to the Farm Cart at the Farm Barn, the Shelburne Farms Farm Store sells a variety of farm-fresh and local products. You can purchase O Bread Bakery baked goods at the Farm Store or at their bakery in the Farm Barn courtyard. A list of local options available upon request.

Take in the beauty of Shelburne Farms in the early fall, enjoy breathtaking views and 10 miles of walking trails*, watch cheesemaking and enjoy a taste of Shelburne Farms’ cheddar, meet the Farms’ raptors in residence, and experience hands on learning at the Children’s Farmyard (not just for children!).
*If walking is not an option, you can request a Campus Driving Pass.
