Scholarship and Program Access Fund

Kids looking at the view of the Farm Barn

Shelburne Farms was founded as a nonprofit in 1972 with a belief that education was the path for a thriving and just world rooted in nature and community. From the beginning, we have offered programs for youth and teachers that inspire and cultivate learning for a sustainable future. More than 30,000 students per year participate in hands-on learning on Shelburne Farms. And teachers learn how to tie their field experiences back to the classroom, making curriculum come alive for their students.

School field trips and summer camps at Shelburne Farms connect students with agriculture and the natural world, and offer transformative learning opportunities that can sow seeds for creating a brighter world. Each year we waive the field trip fee for nearly a third of students and provide scholarships for summer campers based on need.

Gifts to the Scholarship and Program Access Fund help assure that finances are never a barrier to students and teachers wishing to access our programs.
