Stay, learn, and experience the Farm
We look forward to welcoming you to Shelburne Farms! Your stay is a chance to get away, unwind, explore the Farm, participate in our programs and experience the beauty here.
Shelburne Farms is a nonprofit education organization whose mission is to inspire and cultivate learning for a sustainable future. Located along the shores of Lake Champlain, our home campus is a 1,400-acre working farm, forest, and National Historic Landmark. The nonprofit depends on community support through tax deductible contributions. All proceeds from your stay and dining here support the Farm’s work and education programs.
Originally the site of an Abenaki lookout, the property later became the 19th-century country home of Dr. William Seward and Lila Vanderbilt Webb. The Inn was opened as the Farm’s guest house in 1987, following the gift of the land and historic buildings at Shelburne Farms to the nonprofit that owns it today.
The house still has most of its original furnishings and fixtures. The Inn features: 24 guest rooms in the main house, 4 guest cottages, a public farm to table restaurant, beautiful flower gardens, and all of Shelburne Farms to explore and enjoy.
